The Autumn 21 Trend Edit at Precious
Life begins to return to normal for autumn/winter which is a great joy, however, we bought this season again in a much more edited way, seeking out key pieces that will work hard in your wardrobe and offer versatility.
We have seen a shift to a more relaxed style, and even though there will be more socialising this autumn, and a a return to the office for some, our lifestyles seem to have shifted to a more hybrid office/wfh work life balance and even social occasions are less formal. This seasons collections have that covered.
1. cottagecore.
Look for details that are reminiscent of the idyllic countryside lifestyle with a rather Victorian feel to the styling. Lace trims, frilled blouses, larger collars, tucks and pleats and patchwork. Vintage buttons that act as statements on knitwear, fairisle paatterns and cable knits all layered with a wider softer corduroy trouser or the girlfriend jean. Soft natural colours of cream, indigo, black and khaki blend seamlessly together. This is a delicate style that whispers femininity. Key collections here include Munthe & Part Two.
2. corduroy.
Corduroy makes a return this autumn in a big way, and layers perfectly with the cottagecore trend. Soft nuetral shades of cream, dusty blue and deep green are perfect for layering with soft knits or pretty blouses and give a simple texture to daily wear. Checkout both Part Two and Lollys Laundry collections for some of the prettiest corduroy pieces this season.
3. khaki malarkey.
Always a shade we look out for as it's so versatile and literally goes with everything. Rethink Khaki if it's not a colour in your wardrobe this season as it's a key fashion shade this autumn. Combine with brights, indigo or navy and of course it looks super cool with black not to mention all the gorgeous nuetrals and winter whites this season. Collections to browse for khaki this season are Selected Femme, Part Two and 360 Cashmere.
4. art inspired prints
We've always loved a distinctive print here at Precious, and this season was no exception. Although we have toned down the shades and prints in the overall collection for AW21, the POM Amsterdam collection was so exuberant and distinctive with it's Matisse and Picasso inspired prints we could not resist. Gorgeous bright colours and winks and kisses faces hidden in prints or out bold on a sweatshirt that you will treasure for seasons to come.
5. in the pink.
Beautifully optimistic shades of pink are back in every hue from softest blush in exotic floral prints and baby pink separates from Essentiel Antwerp right through to the brightest candy or neon pink cashmere from Jumper 1234 or some va va voom pink animal print from Essentiel Antwerp and fun knits from Selected Femme. It all feels fun and optimistic and just the shade to brighten up our winter wardrobe.
and finally thank you for reading, following and supporting us over the past year...
