Here are my three go to pieces that I've found have become a more essential part of my recent daily routine living and working at home during lockdown. Dressing now calls for a more relaxed approach and loungewear and knitwear has definitely become a more essential part of my wardrobe, but after all being at home and dressing in a more relaxed way is not reason to let standards slip.
1. THE COSY CARDIGAN
An endlessly useful piece enough to layer over whatever I'm wearing when I feel that I need another layer without having the heating blasting on, or when I just feel the need of some added comfort. Ideal over a lighter top or dress, and also good to wear with a little vest instead of a sweater. There's something very reassuring about a cardigan.
2. LUXE SOCKS
The recent warmer weather has got me back into my Birkies, however it's just a bit too cold to wear them barefoot every day at the moment. I've taken to layering a pair of pretty socks, something stripy or sparkly seems perfect and adds a layer of warmth and an element of fun too. A bit less heavy than trainers round the house and one step more dressed then staying in ones slippers !
3. KNITTED CO-ORDS
This Selected Femme knitted trouser and top has been the perfect luxe tracksuit option. Not really a trackie but with the same comfort factor, once my go to for once I got home I now find it's become a wardrobe staple. The other option I favour is to pair a soft sweater with a fluid skirt - and of course ones Birkies - perfect for those slightly warmer days.
